  • Cumin
  • Red pepper powder

  • 4 Lavash/ Thin flatbread/ tortilla
  • 2 Small red onions
  • 2-3 Tomatoes
  • Parsley

Instructions

  • Rough chop the chicken breast meat into cubes or small pieces, slightly smaller than bite sized then place them in a pot of boiling water and boil them until cooked.
While the chicken is boiling, you can chop up some red onions, tomatoes, and parsley for the filling. Add a pinch of salt and toss the tomatoes and the onions for added flavor.
Drain the boiled chicken pieces and keep them aside.
TIP: Make the chicken tantuni wraps individually for each person so they can be eaten hot and fresh immediately. Stir fry the chicken in small batches, the toppings can also be customized for each person! To make it easier, you can divide the chicken into batches of 4 to 6 depending on the people.
To make the tantuni, heat a flat nonstick pan and add 2 tablespoons of cotton oil if it is available and olive oil if it is not. Since we’re making it one person at a time, immediately add one portion of chicken and stir fry it!
Add in the dry spices, salt, ½ teaspoon black pepper, ½ teaspoon cumin powder, ½ teaspoon red pepper powder, ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes, you can adjust the spice level according to your taste. Stir fry!
Now take the lavash or flatbread and press it flat down on the flat pan, allowing the lavash to soak up the flavor and juice.
Make the tantuni wrap by placing the chicken and the toppings, onions, tomatoes and parsley and roll it up into a wrap. Serve hot immediately!
